Ventilator Unit

Ambassador HealthCare leads the state in weaning ventilator patients from dependence on their ventilators. That is why we refer to our unit as the “Ventilator Independence Unit.” We believe the goal should be gaining independence, not maintenance.

There is no shortcut to success. It requires hard work and comprehensive care. And while not every person can be weaned from the ventilator, we are extremely proud to have successfully weaned many patients who had been previously deemed “permanent ventilator patients.” Since January 2011, over 100 residents have been weaned off of ventilators and tracheotomy tubes. We are deeply proud to give these patients new hope and independence in their lives.

We believe the goal should be gaining independence, not maintenance.
